How It Works

Q: Who is this for?

A: Everyone who believes in something strongly, despite being unable to prove it.

People approach Faith in different ways - some share beliefs in groups, others go solo. But even a Faith followed by millions is made up of individuals, and every mind is unique.

Perhaps your Faith has formed within an established religion. You may be thinking, "Millions of others believe this."

Alternatively, maybe yours is one in a million. In fact, your Faith might exist without you ever having considered it as 'a Faith' - just your unique principles and ideas, formed over time, never spoken and never heard - until now.

Whichever way you've reached your Faith, write it here. You just never know what it might start.

Q: What Should I Write?

A: Whatever you like - if you believe in it, it's a Faith. Faith does not need to involve a belief in God, although many traditional Faiths do.

Of course, there is a word limit (100), and it might seem like a challenge to fit your Faith within this space. Try to focus on elements that are particularly important to you. Think how you would respond if you were given one minute to answer the question "What do you believe in?"

Q: How are Faiths assessed?

When you are considering another Faith, you have three options:

  1. Rate; according to your opinion of the soundness of the view.
  2. Discuss: join the discussion beneath the Faith.
  3. Follow; if you are particularly impressed by a Faith, you may become a follower.

If you click follow, you will access the Following, a private page for those who admire a particular Faith, and wish to explore it further. A dialogue is enabled for this purpose in the 'dogmabox.' Here, the Followers of the Faith can develop the appropriate dogma which they feel their Faith possesses. The founder has no control over what his Followers write, but he may remove posts in the dogmabox If he feels they are destructive, or hinder the development of his Faith. If particularly offended, the Founder can Exile the offending Follower from the Faith altogether. Of course, if the Founder wishes his Faith to grow in popularity, he might be advised to use this approach sparingly.

Q: Where Do I begin?

To participate, you must start a Faith yourself, by writing your Faith in the allotted box. If a member wishes to comment on another Faith, his own position must be available for comment. You cannot critique without stating your own views.
